Dr. Rituparna Dey
Dr. Rituparna Dey is an academic and social work professional with extensive experience in rural development, advocacy, and community mobilization. She completed her Ph.D. in 2024 from the Department of Social Work, University of Delhi, with a dissertation titled "A Study of Coping Mechanisms in the Lives of the Transgender Women Community." Her academic journey includes an M.A. in Social Work, specializing in Rural Development, from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), Tuljapur.
Dr. Dey has served as a Research Assistant on an ICSSR-funded project at the University of Delhi. She is currently working as an Assistant Professor at Visva-Bharati Central University West Bengal. Her area of expertise is rural development, community mobilization, gender, livelihood strategies and marginalization. She has also worked with organizations such as the Narmada Bachao Andolan (NBA) and the Meghalaya State Rural Livelihood Society (MSRLS).
