Research and Data Assistance

The SHD Research Foundation is actively engaged in academic research on prominent socio-political issues. A dedicated data division of the foundation- Centre for Data and Behavioral Analytics (CDBA), focuses on generating primary data concerning political, policy, and business market trends both in India and globally to assist actionable insights to relevant stakeholders.

The Centre has also studied electoral trends, particularly in the Lok Sabha elections of 2014, 2019, and 2024, as well as State Assembly elections in India, with an increasing emphasis on electoral trends in other regions worldwide.

By deploying real-time field enumerators, integrating AI tools, and utilizing advanced research methodologies, we ensure the application of rigorous data validation and transparency protocols. These efforts enable us to produce policy recommendations that inform decision-making and contribute to societal progress.

We also provide access to a wide range of datasets on social and political issues generated by centers of the foundation which are available to students, researchers, journalists, academics, and policymakers.

In recent years, we have expanded the to include survey datasets generated by various research projects undertaken by other four Centres of the foundation – Centre for Inclusion and Harmony Studies (CIHS), Centre for Indian Knowledge Traditions (CIKT), Centre for Polity and Public Policy (CPPP) and Centre for International Politics and Area Studies (CIPAS).
